But his public outings, a video in the form of an “open letter” to his doctor, Dr. Réjean Thomas and his appearance on Denis Lévesque’s show a few weeks later (never broadcast on the air, but Mr. Lachance himself spread it on the networks) had a devastating effect on patients, who abandoned their treatment or who said they were going to do it after hearing Bernard Lachance…
